Nominacije ob 40-letnici SOI

Mednarodna specialna olimpiada (SOI) letos praznuje 40 let, odkar so bile v Chicagu leta 1968 izvedene prve mednarodne igre SO. Ob tej priložnosti želijo podariti priznanja najzaslužnejšim trenerjem v specialno-olimpijskem gibanju.

NAVODILA: A

s part of the Special Olympics 40th Anniversary commemoration we are hoping to gather stories about coaches from around the world who have been able to raise the performance level of athletes through cutting edge coaching methods.

We want the story of the coach who trained and motivated the Down Syndrome athlete who competed in the 50 meter dash and the softball throw to competing in the half marathon. Or, the coach who trained a Special Olympics basketball player who became a member of a community based team.

We are looking for stories that contain best practices that can be shared around the world. We want to know specific coaching tactics that were used, specific training/practice regimens, motivational techniques.
